February Tip - Ready, Set, Read!

We’ve established that talking to your child is key. The most important aspect of conversation with your child is the amount of talking you do. Studies have shown that parents who frequently speak with their babies have youngsters who know almost 300 more words by age 2, than those children who did not have the same experience.


Now, let’s talk about reading. You most certainly know you should read to your child. According to the Department of Education, the more children read or are read to, the higher their reading scores. In addition, reading to children stretches their imagination and expands their view of the world.
