Our Mission
Educating the Whole Child
As parents we wish for our children to have the very best education, but what you must remember is that a large part of learning happens outside the classroom. Of course we want our readers to absorb the most from our books! But first and foremost we wish that they help you to set the groundwork for their emotional success.

"Effective learning depends on secure attachments, affirming relationships, rich hands-on learning experiences, and explicit integration of social, emotional, and academic skills."

- The Learning Policy Institute, reviewed by Mark Greenberg chair of Prevention Research at Penn State University and Ming-Te Wang professor of Psychology and Education
What does this mean?

Learning is social and emotional, as well as academic.
What does this mean for the
Sam the School Bus books?

Our number one goal is to establish an environment within the Sam The School Bus books that is welcoming and warm - where your child feels cherished and safe, and where exploration is possible. In doing so, we hope that Sam and Friends can help build a sense of self-confidence in our young readers that then leaves room for opportunities to engage in meaningful dialog, growth, and learning.
